Tourizzy’s collaborations with Marvie Hotel, Museum of Illusions Zagreb and Split, and travel agency Jammark show how digital tours can reduce operational pressure, extend the visitor experience and enrich travel packages with scalable digital content. Today’s travellers increasingly expect more than a list of landmarks to visit. They look for local stories, personal recommendations and content they can experience at their own pace, before a trip or while staying at a destination. At the same time, hotels, tourist attractions and travel agencies are looking for new ways to create additional value for guests and travellers without increasing the operational workload of their teams. This is the space in which Tourizzy is growing: a Croatian platform for digital video tours that enables travellers to discover destinations through short video stories created by local guides and storytellers. Existing collaborations show that the same technology can support several different use cases: as a digital concierge for hotel guests, as an extension of the visitor experience at an attraction, or as an added service included in a travel package.
Marvie Hotel: a digital concierge that reduces pressure on reception staff
One concrete example of Tourizzy’s application in hospitality is its collaboration with Marvie Hotel in Split. A simple QR plaque is placed at the hotel reception, allowing guests to access a digital video tour of Split free of charge. The process is straightforward: the guest scans the QR code, opens the tour on their mobile phone and receives content that helps them discover the city, its stories, landmarks and interesting locations. During the first two months of the collaboration, the tour was downloaded more than 200 times and achieved an average user rating of 5.0. For the hotel, this model creates value on two levels. Guests receive an additional service at no extra cost, while reception staff save time otherwise spent repeating the same recommendations, explaining routes and answering questions about what to visit in the city. The digital tour does not replace personal contact with reception staff or traditional tour guides. Instead, it serves as an additional tool that is available to guests at any time, regardless of opening hours or how busy the hotel team is. “Guests expect more from a hotel than quality accommodation. They want recommendations, local context and a simple way to discover the destination. Tourizzy enables us to offer an additional Split experience immediately upon arrival, without a complicated process or additional pressure on reception staff. We are especially pleased that guests rated the experience with the highest possible score,” says Diana Rubić, Director of Marvie Hotel. The hotel partner pays a monthly flat fee, while guests can use the tours free of charge and without a limit on the number of downloads. The hotel also receives access to advanced analytics, enabling it to track content usage and better understand guest interests.
Museum of Illusions Zagreb and Split: extending the visitor experience beyond the venue
A second use case demonstrates how digital video tours can complement the visitor experience offered by tourist attractions and museums. Through the collaboration with Museum of Illusions Zagreb and Split, Tourizzy can serve as an additional digital layer connecting the museum visit with the wider destination. Visitors can continue exploring local stories and points of interest through mobile-first video content after or alongside their museum experience. For an attraction, this creates an opportunity to add value without introducing a new guided service or increasing the operational workload of on-site staff. The same digital infrastructure can also support communication with visitors before and after their visit, helping an attraction remain part of the broader destination experience rather than limiting the interaction to the time spent inside the venue. The model is designed to be scalable: digital content can be distributed to a large number of visitors without requiring a proportional increase in staff, while usage can be measured through Tourizzy analytics.
This makes the format particularly relevant for attractions that want to connect their physical visitor experience with destination discovery and provide guests with useful, mobile content that remains available throughout their stay. “Tourizzy gives us an opportunity to extend the visitor journey beyond the museum itself and connect our guests with the destination through an accessible digital format. It is a simple way to add value to the experience while keeping the process easy for both visitors and our team,” says Kristina Andrić, Sales & Event Manager at Museum of Illusions. For museums and attractions, this approach can become an additional service layer: one that complements the physical experience, supports destination discovery and can be expanded to new locations without changing the underlying operating model.
Jammark: digital tours as part of a travel package
A third direction for Tourizzy is being developed through its collaboration with travel agency Jammark. Since May 2026, Jammark has been providing travellers with access to digital video tours as part of its European travel offering. Tourizzy tours are included for more than 30 destinations across Croatia and other European countries. Alongside an organised trip, travellers therefore receive an additional tool they can use to discover the destination in advance, identify the locations that interest them most and plan their free time outside the organised programme more easily. The digital tour is not a replacement for a tour leader or a guided visit. It extends the experience and gives travellers more freedom. Before arrival, travellers can watch short video stories about individual locations and decide which places they would like to explore further. During the trip, the content can serve as a personal digital guide during parts of the day that are not covered by the group itinerary. This approach is particularly suitable for younger generations accustomed to video content and mobile apps, while its ease of use also makes it relevant to older travellers. “Our travellers want the security and organisation of an agency trip, but at the same time they want a certain level of independence. Digital video tours allow them to get to know the destination before the trip and independently explore what interests them most during their stay. It is an additional value we can include in the package and offer to all travellers, regardless of age,” says Vedrana Selimbegović, owner of Jammark travel agency. For the agency, another advantage is that the monthly cooperation model allows an unlimited number of downloads for its travellers, without the need to purchase a separate tour for each individual traveller.
High production value as the foundation of the experience
Although technology enables simple content distribution, the quality of the tour itself remains essential to user interest and satisfaction. Tourizzy tours are not designed as dry lists of historical facts that can easily be found online. Their purpose is to convey the atmosphere of a destination through authentic local guides, video storytelling and carefully selected locations. “Our goal is to shape every tour as a high-quality digital experience rather than a conventional list of facts about a destination. We combine local stories, authentic guides and strong production value so that the content is engaging enough for users to watch before a trip, during their stay and even after returning home. That is precisely why the same format can work naturally in a hotel, a travel package or as part of a visitor attraction experience,” says Dragan Vejnović, Creative Director of Tourizzy. This format allows users to decide for themselves when to watch each story, in which order to explore the city and which locations they want to visit in person.
One platform, three different business models
The examples of Marvie Hotel, Museum of Illusions Zagreb and Split, and Jammark demonstrate how the same digital infrastructure can be adapted to different needs across the tourism sector. For a hotel, Tourizzy acts as a digital concierge that provides local recommendations and reduces pressure on reception staff. For a travel agency, it represents additional value included in a travel package and a tool that gives travellers greater freedom before and during their trip. For a museum or tourist attraction, it extends the visitor journey beyond the venue and connects the physical experience with broader destination discovery through mobile content. Across these models, the end user can receive the content free of charge, while the business partner pays a monthly flat fee that can include unlimited downloads and access to advanced analytics. Partners can therefore track different usage parameters, analyse audience interest and more clearly measure the value of the content they provide to guests, travellers or visitors. At a time when travellers expect personalised, mobile and easily accessible experiences, digital video tours are increasingly proving to be a practical link between the physical destination and the way modern travellers want to discover it. Tourizzy continues to develop collaborations with hotels, travel agencies, destinations, museums and brands that want to offer guests and visitors an additional digital experience. Interested partners can contact the Tourizzy team to develop a model tailored to their destination, audience or business use case.
